No scientific basis, one version among many
This tool applies a simplified odd/even variant of the traditional ‘Chinese gender calendar’ — add the mother's age to the lunar month of conception; an odd sum points to a boy, an even sum to a girl. Many different charts and variants circulate online and they don't always agree with each other.
The real ratio is close to even
At birth, the actual sex ratio runs at roughly 105 boys to every 100 girls, so whichever method you use, the real odds are close to 50/50. A baby's sex is fixed at the moment of conception by which sperm (carrying an X or Y chromosome) fertilizes the egg — nothing about lifestyle or calculation changes it.
For a real answer, ask an ultrasound
The only reliable way to confirm a baby's sex is an ultrasound scan, usually possible from around week 16 onward. Treat this calculator as entertainment only — it carries no medical or diagnostic value.
