Frequently asked questions

Q. What is this game?

Pick a line and it asks for each station in turn, starting from the terminus. Finish typing an answer and it advances without Enter while the map pans to follow. The point is to see how fast you can recite a whole line.

Q. Do I need to read the local script?

No. Lines written in kanji, kana or Devanagari also accept romanised spellings. On the Tokyo Yamanote Line both “新宿” and “Shinjuku” count; on the Delhi Yellow Line both the Devanagari and the English name work.

Q. Which cities are included?

Alongside the big capital-city lines there are metros beyond the capital — Busan, Osaka, Chicago, Lyon, Munich, Barcelona, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Mumbai each have a line to solve.

Q. Are scores saved?

Your station count, elapsed time, stations per minute and accuracy all show on screen as you play. Nothing is sent to a server, so no account is needed and a refresh starts over.
