Implantation calculator

Estimated implantation window and earliest realistic pregnancy test date, from your last period

Your cycle

Implantation happens six to twelve days after ovulation

The fertilized egg typically implants in the uterine lining six to twelve days after ovulation, most often around day eight to ten. This calculator estimates ovulation as fourteen days before your next expected period, then shows the implantation window around that date.

Implantation bleeding does not happen to everyone

Some people notice light spotting — usually brown or pink — around implantation, but many never do. Its absence does not mean implantation failed, and its presence does not confirm pregnancy on its own.

When a test is actually accurate

hCG takes a few days after implantation to rise high enough to detect. A highly sensitive test may pick it up from about three days before your missed period, but accuracy is highest on or after the day your period is due. A negative result is worth repeating a few days later.

Frequently asked questions

QNo implantation bleeding — does that mean no pregnancy?

No. Implantation bleeding only happens to some people. Its absence does not mean implantation failed, and its presence alone does not confirm pregnancy either — a test is what actually tells you.

QWhen is a pregnancy test most reliable?

A highly sensitive test may respond a few days before your missed period, but hCG is highest and most reliably detected on or after the day your period was due.
